Kirkland has dozens of parks from small pocket parks to waterfront parks to large community parks with a variety of amenities like sports fields, playgrounds, picnic areas and trails.

  • Seasonal Restrooms - Some park restrooms close over the winter and seasonal portable toilets are placed in those parks. Then during the busier spring and summer seasons portable toilets are placed in additional Kirkland parks as a service to the community. Seasonal changes take place annually in March and November. See the list of seasonal restrooms(PDF, 100KB) .

OO Denny Park is located on Lake Washington and features picnic areas, a playground, trails, and restrooms. The park is owned by the City of Seattle but managed and maintained by the City of Kirkland.

Announcement : O.O. Denny Park Bridge Closure - The pedestrian bridge connecting the parking lot and restroom to the park is closed due to tree damage sustained in late 2025. City staff are working on plans to replace the bridge and restore this important park connection. The park remains open, and we appreciate your patience as we plan a replacement.
