NE 85th Street Shared-Use Pathway - 6th Street to 405 Improvements
The City of Kirkland is building a shared-use pedestrian and bicycle path along Northeast 85th Street that will connect Kirkland's downtown to the new Bus Rapid Transit interchange on I-405.
How it affects the CKC: The CKC has reopened after a closure at NE 85th Street to NE 87th Street. Work crews will complete repairs and restorations on the CKC and continue construction on the adjacent NE 85th Street shared-use pathway throughout June. Crews may intermittently be present on the CKC, and trail users may at times be stopped by flaggers. Disruptions will be as rare and brief as possible.

King County’s urgent repair of the Eastside Interceptor (ESI) - NE 52nd Street to 108th Ave NE is complete.
The ESI is a large regional wastewater pipeline that runs along the CKC. A section of the pipeline received urgent repairs to protect public health, the environment, and community infrastructure.
How it affects the CKC: The CKC is open. A bypass pipe was installed on the side of the trail and wood chips have been mounded over it at the trailhead locations. There are several spots with fencing for work to continue in Phase 2 and final restoration will occur after Phase 2. Phase 2 of the repair is expected this summer.
