JURY SCAM ALERT
There has been a significant increase in jury scam calls, texts, emails and mailings targeting Washington state residents. Scammers can be very convincing, repeating your name, address, Social Security numbers and other information that makes them seem legitimate.
Please tell your family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors that courts, law enforcement and government agencies do not initiate calls about missing jury service or threatening the imposition of fees or driver's license suspension for failure to make a payment, and will never ask for payment or financial information.
Anyone who receives such a message is strongly advised not to respond, click on any links, or provide personal or financial information. These messages are not authorized and should be considered suspicious.
Please report any suspicious activity of this kind to your local law enforcement agency.
