Stay Out of the Water at Houghton Beach and Juanita Beach Re-Opened

As of 4:30 p.m. on July 29, 2025, Public Health – Seattle & King County is recommending that people and pets stay out of the water at the swimming areas of Houghton Beach Park for at least one week due to elevated bacteria levels. Based on the same round of tests, Juanita Beach Park has been reopened as of 4:30 p.m. today for swimming, wading, and other water activities.
