Kirkland Police Investigate House Fire in Finn Hill

Kirkland, WA – Around 3:45 a.m. today, Kirkland Police responded with the Kirkland Fire Department to a house fire in the Finn Hill neighborhood.

Concerned neighbors called 911 after hearing a loud boom and seeing flames coming from the roof of the house. While police assisted with the evacuation of neighboring homes and scene security, Kirkland firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and searched the residence. During the search, firefighters located the body of a deceased adult inside the home.

Both the cause of the fire and the cause of death are currently under investigation by Kirkland Fire investigators and Kirkland Police detectives. Based on the current evidence, detectives do not believe the incident involves foul play.

This investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details are available at this time.
