Kirkland AquaLeaders Program

THE ROLE OF THE AQUALEADER
AquaLeaders are expected to follow the rules established by the aquatics staff.  AquaLeaders will assist lifeguards and swim instructors in a variety of ways.  AquaLeaders will never be a lifeguard on duty or a primary swim instructor but will learn guarding technique and how to instruct swim lessons across multiple levels.  Individuals seeking to volunteer for the City of Kirkland and Peter Kirk Aquatics program must successfully complete the AquaLeaders program, complete all necessary paperwork before volunteering and go through an interview process with Aquatics staff.  Aqua Leaders who completed the program in 2019 will need to retake the course in 2022.
