Everest Park Restroom Replacement

rendering showing the new restroom structure at Everest Park

The existing restroom building at Everest Park is approximately 60 years old and is at the end of its useful life. The old restrooms are insufficient to meet growing public demands on the park, especially during peak seasonal use such as large regional sporting events held at the park, which contribute to the local economy. Additionally, the existing restroom facilities do not meet current American with Disabilities (ADA) standards, and the building lacks an accessible route.

This project includes demolition of the existing 1,070 square-foot restroom and construction of a modern facility with sustainable building materials chosen to resist graffiti. Although slightly smaller (1,027 square feet), the new design will include additional stalls in the men’s and women’s restrooms and two separate family-style gender neutral restrooms. The site is also designed to promote inclusivity and ADA accessibility from the parking lot into the restroom building and stalls. The project area is approximately 0.5 acres. Site work includes new utility services, paving (and repaving), modifications to irrigation, and landscaping. Attachment 2 provides an architectural rendering of the replacement restroom that will be constructed. This project is expected to be substantially complete within 197 calendar days after the notice to proceed and to be open to the public for use by spring 2026.

An ADA accessible portable restroom will be provided for the public during construction.
