Suspect Arrested in Homicide Investigation

Kirkland, WA – On Thursday, September 4, at approximately 11 p.m., Kirkland Police received a 911 call from a woman reporting that she and her mother had been stabbed inside their apartment at the Kirkland Heights Apartments, located in the 13400 block of NE 132nd Street. The suspect was known by the victims and fled before officers arrived.

When officers entered the apartment, they found two women with multiple stab wounds. Both were given medical aid at the scene and then transported to Harborview Medical Center. The adult daughter underwent surgery and stabilized. Her mother did not survive her injuries.

Police immediately began a search for the suspect and issued an alert to surrounding law enforcement agencies. Shortly after, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies located the suspect’s vehicle and took the suspect into custody. He was then transferred to Kirkland Police custody and later booked into the King County jail.

Kirkland Police detectives responded to the crime scene and are actively investigating this as a suspected homicide.
