KIRKLAND, Wash. – The City of Kirkland is developing the Green Loop Implementation Plan to bring to life a longtime community vision: a continuous trail and open space corridor connecting parks, local and regional trails, and destinations in the Finn Hill and Juanita neighborhoods.

The Green Loop will expand access to nature and recreation while strengthening community connections. The Implementation Plan will determine where the Green Loop is located, what it looks like, and how it’s built -- guided by the people who live, work, and play in Kirkland.

Community members are invited to help shape the plan by completing an online survey and sharing ideas on the interactive public input map, available at www.kirklandwa.gov/GreenLoopPlan now through September 30, 2025.

“The Green Loop is more than just a trail, it’s a vision for how we connect with each other, our neighborhoods, and the outdoors,” said Councilmember John Tymczyszyn. “We want this project to reflect the creativity, priorities, and hopes of the community it will serve. Your feedback is essential to making that happen.”

The City will use community input to guide the Green Loop Implementation Plan and will provide additional opportunities for engagement as the project progresses.
