The Kirkland City Council met on March 19, 2024, in a hybrid meeting. Here’s a brief overview of some of the items from the meeting:

  • Council suspended exploration of a community pool ballot measure in 2024 and provided direction on potential interim uses of the Houghton Park and Ride while long-term plans are developed.
  • Council assigned the name “Raven Way” to the private access road for Juanita High School.
  • The Mayor Proclaimed March 17 – 23 National Safe Place Week in Kirkland. To read more, visit the City’s website.  

Prior to the above business agenda, the Council held a Study Session consisting of a joint meeting with the Transportation Commission to discuss the Commission's 2-year Work Plan.
