Man Sentenced for Violent Attack on Kirkland Resident

On January 9, 2026, Kevin Harper was sentenced to over 32 years in prison for an attack on a Kirkland community member. He was sentenced on convictions including attempted murder, kidnapping, burglary, and robbery.

Festivities begin at 12:45 p.m. with the ribbon cutting, followed by a short walk to the new HAWK crossing at 1 p.m. for photos with Blitz, the official Seahawks mascot.

Suspect Arrested in Kirkland Bank Robberies

Kirkland Police officers have arrested a suspect connected to two bank incidents that occurred earlier this Fall in the Juanita neighborhood. The first was a robbery at US Bank (13233 100th Avenue NE) on October 7, 2025. The second was an attempted robbery at Bank of America (11617 97th Lane NE) on October 29, 2025. In both cases, the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
