Suspect Arrested in Kirkland Bank Robberies

Kirkland Police officers have arrested a suspect connected to two bank incidents that occurred earlier this Fall in the Juanita neighborhood. The first was a robbery at US Bank (13233 100th Avenue NE) on October 7, 2025. The second was an attempted robbery at Bank of America (11617 97th Lane NE) on October 29, 2025. In both cases, the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Connect and Learn with Kirkland Police this December

The Kirkland Police Department (KPD) is hosting two community events this month designed to strengthen community relationships and share practical safety information. Community members are invited to visit with officers for Coffee with a Cop and/or attend a free Gun Safety Class. Each event provides a different way to connect with KPD officers and learn more about public safety in Kirkland.

Sidewalk & tree replacement coming December 2025 at Juanita Village

Starting as early as next week, the property owner at Juanita Village will be replacing the sidewalk along 98th Ave NE. As part of this work, most of the existing street trees along the sidewalk will be removed and then replaced after the new sidewalk is built.

Kirkland Woman Arrested for Daughter’s Death

On November 4, 2025, Kirkland Police Department (KPD) detectives arrested a 42-year-old Kirkland woman on suspicion of Manslaughter in the First Degree following an extensive investigation into the death of her 10-year-old daughter. She remains in custody at the King County Correctional Facility, with her bail set at $1 million.

Gun Safety Presentation hosted by the Kirkland Police Department

This will be an informative presentation to discuss personal firearms safety inside the home. Participants will hear from Kirkland Police Officers as they teach about firearms safety, and proper storage techniques. Students will receive a complementary small personal safe and gun locks for attending. Attendees must be 21+ years old, and reside within the City of Kirkland.
