The NE Juanita Dr and 86th Ave NE Storm Improvements Project supports the City Council’s "Dependable Infrastructure” and "Community Safety" goals. This project installs 410 feet of groundwater collection drain pipe and 300 feet of new stormwater drainage pipe. The project also installs new storm drains, roadway pavement, and new roadway paint markings. 

This project will help resolve flooding issues to eliminate water over the roadway and prevent hazardous ice build up to make the road safer for pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles.

Updates and Information

Update (April 11, 2024)-- The Kirkland City Council voted on April 2 to award a construction contract to Monroe-based RRJ Company, LLC. Construction is scheduled to begin June 3, 2024 and is expected to last 40 working days.
