Houghton Beach Park Improvements

The City of Kirkland is planning to replace the Houghton Beach Park restroom to ensure it is accessible to everyone, and thus, compliant with the Americans with Disabiilties Act.

The replaced restroom will also optimize the building's function for lifeguards, vendors, park safety and services.

As part of the scoping process, staff are examining the building’s current location and possibilities for programmatic improvements.

Project managers will begin the design process in winter 2024 and expect construction to begin in summer 2025.
