Annual Aging and Failing Infrastructure

The Annual Replacement of Aging and Failing Stormwater Infrastructure project provides for regular replacement of Surface Water Utility infrastructure that has surpassed expected and useful service life and/or is experiencing failure.

The 2026 Replacement of Aging and Failing Stormwater Infrastructure program replaces or rehabilitates deficiencies in the City’s stormwater system to increase asset lifecycle, lower maintenance cost, and reduce potential for flooding. To economize costs for design and other soft costs, these aging infrastructure locations were combined into one design and construction project.

• The 2026 project utilizes trenchless technologies to complete the work faster with less impact to the public, lowers the risk of unknown site conditions, and saves ratepayers money.
  
  
• Approximately 581 linear feet of stormwater pipe will be rehabilitated through open-cut removal and replacement, including 55 linear feet of 12-inch-diameter pipe, 404 linear feet of 18-inch-diameter pipe, and 122 linear feet of 24-inch-diameter pipe.
  
  
• The remaining 3,620 linear feet of stormwater pipe will be rehabilitated using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, including 1,460 linear feet of 12-inch-diameter pipe, 1,835 linear feet of 18-inch-diameter pipe, and 325 linear feet of 24-inch-diameter pipe.
