The City of Kirkland plans to begin construction in spring on upgrades to the water and stormwater systems along Eighth Street South and Fifth Avenue South.

Kirkland is replacing 2,170 linear feet of six-inch concrete water main with 16-inch ductile iron starting at Kirkland Avenue, continuing along Railroad Avenue and along Fifth Avenue South. The City is also replacing along sections of Eighth Street South and along Fifth Avenue South. 

The City is planning to complete the project's design and advertise the project's contract in late winter.
