All City facilities are closed to the public as part of our response to COVID-19. Many City Services are available online. Find resources for businesses and residents, and here are ways you can help.
Kirkland Parks and Community Services Department offers Kirkland residents of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in diverse, challenging, and high-quality recreation programs that are accessible and affordable. We try to make every opportunity available, regardless of income. Scholarship opportunities are available to those who might not be able to participate because of income.
50%, 75% and 95% scholarships are available to residents of the City of Kirkland (depending on income verification). Kirkland residents may apply for scholarships for themselves or any member of their household of which they have guardianship and verification. Scholarship allocation is limited to one class/program/camp registration per each household member per recreation programming quarter (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall).
Scholarship eligibility levels are determined by Seattle-Bellevue, WA HUD FMR Area Income Limit Summary.
Residents who wish to register for programs and services provided by Kirkland Parks & Community Services through the scholarship program must submit an application and provide income verification. Examples of Income Verification are contained within the application form.
