In alignment with Welcoming Week, the City of Kirkland is hosting its annual City Hall 4 All (CH4A) event at Kirkland City Hall (123 5th Ave.) to celebrate the work in communities to become welcoming places for all in Kirkland.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., this free, family-friendly event is made up of four elements: Community, Sustainability, Market, and Trucks.

Community Booths & Performances

Over 40 City departments and community partners will have interactive booths with free giveaways, ranging from tree saplings to reusable cups. Information about their programs and services will also be provided.

Inside City Hall

Inside City Hall, passersby can find:

  • Open City Services: Typically, only open during the weekdays, get City services done this Saturday. Apply for a passport (by appointment only), apply for pet licenses, or pay utility bills on site.
  • Story Time with the Mayor and Library Board: Join Mayor Kelli Cutis and the Kirkland Library Board for a fun children’s book reading and free book swap in the Council Chambers.
  • Future Mayor Photos: Kids can take a photo in Council Chambers to dream up their future as mayor.
  • A Fixer Fair by Seattle ReconomyBring your clothes to mend holes and sew buttons, and small appliances to fix, like lamps, radios, toasters, and more.
  • Young Palette Art Exhibit: In the hallway, enjoy over 30 art pieces from young artists in grades K-12 from local schools located in Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue, and Mercer Island.

People in Kirkland want our community to be green, livable, walkable, and vibrant, so you can learn more on how we keep Kirkland green and healthy for all through reuse demonstrations, eco-themed crafts and games, and an electric bike test ride.

Eastside Made Pop-Up Market

In partnership with One Eastside Spark, over 50 local artisans, small businesses, and food trucks will be at the event. List to be announced.

Truck-a-Palooza

Over 16 different cars and trucks will be parked along 5th Avenue between 1st and 2nd Street for all to enjoy. The Fire Department Ladder Truck will again feature its famous Parachute Drop, allowing kids to catch and keep the parachute.

Blood Drive

In collaboration with Bloodworks Northwest, City Hall for All will have a blood drive mobile parked along 5th Avenue with the rest of the big trucks! Appointments are required for the best possible donation experience. Same-day appointments available at most locations. Photo ID required.

Schedule an Appointment

For safety, we kindly request no visitors under 16 inside the blood mobile. Eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of fluids prior to donation.

Name our Snow Plow

At the Public Works vehicle area in the parking lot next to 5th Avenue, the community will be invited to help name one of our vehicles. More information to come!

How to Volunteer

Volunteer for City Hall 4 All

We need volunteers between the times of 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025, with multiple shifts and start/finish times available throughout the day.

We have volunteer shifts available including but not limited to the below categories:

  • Information Ambassador: Ask me for info (Where’s the trash, where’s the bathroom, pick up trash etc.)
  • Lunch Distribution: Assist with checking in volunteers and staff and distribute lunches.
  • Staff and Vendor Parking: Checking badges for only staff and volunteers for the lower parking lot
  • Bike Valet: Assist with the bike valet setup, operations, and tear down
  • Bathroom & Water Maintenance: Toilet paper, trash, soap, water jugs
  • Waste Sorting Station: Manage waste area, walking and looking for litter/taking garbage from people/etc.
  • Set up/Tear Down Crew: Assisting staff with tents, chairs table setup/teardown

How to Get to City Hall

Kirkland City Hall is located at 123 5th Ave., Kirkland 98033. View Map

We encourage you to mobilize in one of many active ways.

  1. Park your bike at our free Bike Valet on the day of the event
  2. Take the 255 Metro Bus Line directly to the 4th Ave stop.
  3. Get validated free parking at Kirkland Urban (425 Urban Plaza) and then walk through downtown to City Hall.

Note that there will be ADA parking reserved at City Hall along 1st St.
