KIRKLAND, Wash. – Come together to celebrate the 4th of July with our annual community parade through downtown Kirkland. Enjoy a family-friendly event featuring processions and community activities.

Event highlights include:

  • Food trucks stationed at Lake Street and Central throughout the day.
  • Community engagement mural at Central & Lake from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Kids Pavilion at Lakeshore Plaza starting at 10:30 a.m. for decorating stations and giveaways. The Kids Parade begins at 11:30 a.m. from Marina Park.
  • Main Parade kicks off at 12 p.m., following an opening ceremony featuring the National Anthem, a bagpiper, Color Guard, and honored veterans.

Celebrate Kirkland is a parade only experience. While a fireworks show can be thrilling and has been part of the traditional celebration in previous years, we have discovered that fireworks can have a less desirable effect on pets, wildlife, the landscape, the environment and even people. For residents who desire to include fireworks as part of their celebration, plenty of cities in King County will still have neighboring displays.

Drivers should expect traffic delays and restricted parking due to the parade happening on Friday, July 4, 2025. The Lakeshore Plaza and the Lake Street and 3rd and Central parking lots will be closed from 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The public boat lunch will also be closed from 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
