Traffic Alert for August 13: Kirkland Waterfront Car Show

KIRKLAND, Wash. – The annual Kirkland Waterfront Car Show returns to downtown Kirkland on Sunday, August 13, 2023.  The event, which raises money for the Kirkland Downtown Association, is anticipated to draw in 10,000 car enthusiasts to Kirkland, so please plan ahead and expect traffic delays and restricted parking.  

Detours will be in place and the following closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m.:

  • Lake Street from Central Way to 2nd Avenue South
  • Main Street from Central Way to Park Lane
  • Kirkland Avenue from city dock to Main Street
  • Park Lane from Lake Street to 3rd Street
  • Lakeshore Plaza Parking Lot

Event goers are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool, and plan for their parking in advance. For public parking, go to www.kirklandwa.gov/parking. For bus transportation, go to http://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov.
