Traffic Alert: Expect Delays for Rally and March in Downtown Kirkland

KIRKLAND, Wash. — Drivers should expect traffic delays and parking impacts due to a rally and march to be held at Marina Park on Saturday, March 28, 2026.  

Roadway impacts are anticipated to begin at 3 p.m. and last until approximately 4 p.m. The following lane closures will be in place: 

  • East and west bound lanes of Kirkland Avenue from 3rd Street to the City dock  

  • North and south bound lanes of Lake Street from Central Way to Kirkland Avenue 

  • East and west bound lanes of Central Way from Lake Street to 3rd Street 

  • North and south bound lanes of 3rd Street from Central Way to Kirkland Avenue 

 
This is a free speech activity, which is a protected class of activities whose sole purpose is to communicate political or religious ideas and for which no donation can be required to attend or participate. The City requires permits for these activities when they are expected to affect the normal public use of streets, sidewalks, parks, or other public spaces so it can help manage safety, access, and operations. The City’s permitting of a free speech event does not imply City support for the organizers or the purpose of the event.
