Case/Incident # 25-38492

Kirkland Police officers have arrested a suspect connected to two bank incidents that occurred earlier this Fall in the Juanita neighborhood. The first was a robbery at US Bank (13233 100th Avenue NE) on October 7, 2025. The second was an attempted robbery at Bank of America (11617 97th Lane NE) on October 29, 2025. In both cases, the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Kirkland detectives conducted a thorough investigation, which included obtaining and reviewing surveillance video from both banks and nearby businesses. On both occasions, the suspect appeared to be casing the banks, loitering in the immediate area for several minutes before entering. In each incident, the suspect passed a note to the teller and did not display or imply a weapon. Video footage from surrounding area businesses also showed the suspect leaving both scenes using ride-share services. With assistance from the King County Sheriff’s Office, neighboring businesses, and regional law enforcement partners, investigators were able to identify the suspect in the two incidents.

On November 25, 2025, Kirkland detectives located and arrested the suspect without incident. Detectives also served a search warrant on the suspect’s Kirkland residence. The individual was booked into the King County Jail.

“Ensuring the safety of our community is at the core of everything we do,” said Kirkland Police Chief Mike St. Jean. “Our detectives worked diligently to identify the suspect, and we’re thankful for the cooperation from local businesses, community members, and partner agencies that helped move this case forward.”
