Kirkland Arts Center and City of Kirkland are proud to announce the first Umbrella Fringe Festival. Taking place in venues across downtown Kirkland from October 3 through 5, 2025, the festival will be an eclectic variety of music, theater, visual art, comedy, and the entertainingly undefinable.
“Fringe is about enjoying unexpected art and undiscovered artists,” said Councilmember Penny Sweet. “It’s a fantastic new way for people to connect with creativity, each other, and our community as a whole.”
The Kirkland Umbrella Fringe Festival draws on the legacy of the original Edinburgh Fringe by encouraging and embracing independent, original, and experimental work. In addition, Kirkland’s festival will invite the entire region to connect with homegrown innovation by showcasing the talents of local artists.
