Heads-up, drivers: NE 85th Street will be closed from 6th Street S  to 120th Avenue NE from 10 p.m. Friday, May 8 to 5 a.m. Monday, May 11. Here’s what to expect:

  • All ramps to and from I-405 at NE 85th Street will be closed.
  • There will be   no access to or across NE 85th at Kirkland Way or 114th Ave NE – for cars, pedestrians, or cyclists. Access is at 6th St S and Central Way. 
  • Signed detours will be in place.
  • City streets will be heavily congested in this area.

The closure will move NE 85th traffic from the middle level to the lower level of the I-405 interchange. Thanks for your patience as WSDOT completes this critical infrastructure work.
