Kirkland Police Investigate Family Assault

Kirkland, WA – On March 2, 2024, Kirkland Police Department (KPD) officers responded to a call from a woman worried that her son had killed her husband.  The residence is in the 14200 block of 73rd Ave NE in the Finn Hill neighborhood. 

When officers arrived, they found two victims.  The first was the caller, a 51-year-old woman with a head injury.  The second was her husband, a 52-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.  

Officers administered lifesaving first aid on the man until medics arrived. Both victims were taken to local hospitals. 

The suspect, the couple’s 33-year-old son, was found inside the apartment. He was arrested and booked into King County Jail on charges of domestic violence assault in the first and second degrees.  He’s being held on $250,000 bail pending trial.
