The Kirkland Police Department is inviting community members to attend an informative presentation focused on personal gun safety in the home, including secure firearm storage practices, and an overview of firearm laws.

Participants will hear directly from Kirkland Police officers as they discuss firearm safety principles, demonstrate proper storage techniques, and provide information about how to help prevent unauthorized access to firearms.

The class will be held on Wednesday, May 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kirkland Police Department in the Totem Lake Room, located adjacent to the police department lobby.

Due to space limitations, attendance is limited to 20 participants. Attendees must be 21 years or older and reside within the City of Kirkland.

For safety reasons, attendees are asked not to bring personal firearms to the class. Inert training aids will be used as part of the presentation.

Community members can register online through Eventbrite: Gun Safety Class Registration
