KIRKLAND, Wash. – Kirkland’s next great business idea could be in the making—and you can help make it happen! The City invites the community to attend the 2025 Kirkland Business Pitch Competition on April 9, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kirkland Performance Center, 350 Kirkland Ave. This free event is your chance to cheer on local innovation as entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas for a chance to win funding. Plus, you’ll even get to cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award winner!
“These entrepreneurs are working now on refining and workshopping their ideas in preparation for this big community showcase competition,” said Councilmember John Tymczyszyn. “Come be part of an evening of big dreams—get inspired, make connections, and celebrate Kirkland’s spirit of innovation.”
The Pitch Competition will feature a panel of three judges, with winners announced at the end of the event. Three businesses will each win $5,000 in the categories of People’s Choice, Start-Up, and Expansion.
This event is more than just a competition—it’s a gathering for innovators looking for inspiration, investors scouting for the next big opportunity, locations seeking tenants to recruit, and community supporters looking to strengthen Kirkland’s business landscape.
The Kirkland Business Pitch Competition is hosted by the City of Kirkland’s Economic Development Program. Admission is free. Registration is required. For more information, and to register, visit the event webpage.
