Deputy City Manager Receives Inaugural Kirklander of the Year Award

KIRKLAND, Wash. – The Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce and Gesa Credit Union have selected Jim Lopez, Deputy City Manager for External Affairs, as the recipient of the inaugural “Chamber’s Gesa Kirklander of the Year Award”.

“Jim is an outstanding, passionate leader who has shown exemplary dedication to making lasting, positive impacts on Kirkland,” said Ryan James, owner of ryan james fine arts and Board President with the Chamber. “Jim’s service will continue to inspire others and help shape the future of our community.”

The Chamber will present Lopez with the award at the upcoming Chamber Annual Awards Luncheon on Thursday, January 23.

“Jim has gone above and beyond in promoting, strengthening, and advocating for the community,” said Brandon Allison, Assistant Vice President of Training, Education, and Community Relations with Gesa Credit Union. “We appreciate Jim’s relentless positive energy and commitment to making authentic connections.”

James Lopez is the Deputy City Manager for External Affairs at the City of Kirkland. As part of his duties with the City, Lopez is responsible for the administration of the City’s economic development, civic engagement, communications, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging programs. Prior to becoming the Deputy City Manager for External Affairs, Lopez served as Assistant City Manager and Director of Human Resources and Performance Management for the City of Kirkland.
