KIRKLAND, Wash. – Kirkland City Councilmember Amy Falcone has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Sound Cities Association (SCA), which is a membership association of 38 King County cities representing over one million residents.

“I am honored to join the Sound Cities Association Board of Directors on behalf of Kirkland and the North Caucus Cities,” said Councilmember Amy Falcone. “SCA plays such an important role in fostering regional support to lift up critical issues and create livable, vibrant communities. In this and all my regional roles, I aim to advocate for historically excluded voices and to bring a focus of equity and sustainability to the issues at hand.”

Elected to Kirkland City Council in November 2019, Councilmember Falcone has served on the SCA’s Equity and Inclusion Cabinet and as Public Issues Committee alternate. In addition to the SCA, Falcone serves as the Chair of Eastside Human Services Forum Board and as SCA Caucus Chair and representative on the King County Affordable Housing Committee.

The Sound Cities Association helps King County cities act locally and partner regionally to create vital and thriving communities through advocacy, education, leadership, mutual support, and networking. The SCA Board of Directors oversees the mission, policies, and objectives of the association and also ensures resources are managed effectively toward program goals.
