KIRKLAND, Wash. – We all want the highest quality employees keeping Kirkland such an amazing place to live, work, and play. To support this, the City of Kirkland has launched a pioneering childcare initiative that will help ensure that the City is attracting and retaining the best and brightest.

"We value our staff and their critical role in maintaining the vibrant community we all know and love," said Kirkland City Councilmember Amy Falcone. "The City is dedicated to making smart investments in its workforce, and our innovative pilot childcare program is just one example of Kirkland'scommitment to serving our community by being a top-tier employer in the region."

The new childcare initiative will offer reserved spots at the LWTech's Early Learning Center exclusively for City employees. This initiative directly addresses one of the most pressing challenges faced by City staff –available and reliable childcare. By assisting City personnel in securing childcare, the program not only enhances their daily lives but also ensures their continued focus and dedication to the work they perform every day for Kirkland.
