City Welcomes Jen Davis Hayes as New Economic Development Manager

KIRKLAND, Wash. – The City of Kirkland is pleased to announce Jen Davis Hayes as its new Economic Development Manager. Davis Hayes brings 25 years of expertise in economic development, with a proven track record from her work in Seattle, Renton, and most recently the City of Issaquah.
"We’re excited to welcome Jen to our team," said Councilmember Amy Falcone. "Her extensive experience, passion for community collaboration, and proven leadership will be invaluable in shaping Kirkland’s economic future."
Davis Hayes brings extensive experience navigating complex real estate projects with property owners and commercial brokers, as well as transit-oriented development projects that include affordable housing. Throughout her career, Davis Hayes has consistently championed community-focused initiatives, particularly those supporting small businesses, community revitalization, and increasing housing opportunities.
"I'm thrilled to join Kirkland and continue advancing economic development as a tool for fostering vibrant and inclusive communities," said Davis Hayes. "Collaboration is key, and I look forward to partnering with businesses of all sizes, nonprofits, community groups, and city staff to create opportunities that benefit everyone."
Davis Hayes holds a master’s in public administration from the University of Washington, is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), and graduated from the Northwest Women’s Leadership Academy. In 2024, she was honored as "Best Business Coach" by 425 Magazine.
