KIRKLAND, Wash. – The City of Kirkland’s This Week in Kirkland email newsletter has won third place in Granicus’ 13th annual Digital Government Awards, as announced in a news release today. The 2023 awards span seven award categories, and the City’s weekly email newsletter ranked third in the “Trust & Transparency” category.
“Transparency builds trust, and both of these are priorities of the Council,” said Councilmember Kelli Curtis. “We’re honored that the City’s sustained effort to provide timely and thorough information to our community is being recognized.”
The City recently launched a weekly podcast that is based on the award-winning email newsletter. The podcast is available wherever you get your podcasts, and more information is available on the City’s website.
“The Granicus Digital Government Awards demonstrate governments’ commitment to digital transformation and service delivery to their constituents,” said Gabriele “G” Masili, chief customer officer of Granicus in their release. “This year we received a record number of nominations from governments of all levels across North America showcasing how they’re making a difference in their communities. We are inspired by their efforts and honored to partner with them to innovate the processes, capabilities and services used by their customers every day.”
