KIRKLAND, Wash. – Ring in the Lunar New Year with an afternoon of culture, community, and family fun. The City of Kirkland invites you to join the festivities on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Peter Kirk Community Center, 352 Kirkland Ave, and Kirkland Teen Union Building, 348 Kirkland Ave.
“This celebration is a wonderful opportunity for our city to come together, honor the rich traditions of Lunar New Year, and celebrate what makes Kirkland so welcoming and unique,” said Councilmember John Tymczyszyn. “Events like this strengthen the fabric of our community and remind us of the importance of connection, culture, and shared experiences.”
Our annual Lunar New Year celebration offers a vibrant and educational experience for everyone. Explore the rich traditions of the holiday through cultural demonstrations and live entertainment, hosted for the first time at the Kirkland Teen Union Building. Kids can enjoy a variety of crafts, making it a fun and engaging event for the whole family. Light refreshments will be served.
Parking is limited, so we encourage attendees to use the Peter Kirk Municipal Parking Garage or nearby street parking.
This event is presented by the City of Kirkland with sponsorship from Humana.
