Volunteering for Kirkland is a great way to get involved, make an impact and meet fellow residents.

Green Kirkland Partnership

The Green Kirkland Partnership engages the local community in the restoration and care of natural areas in City of Kirkland parks. Green Kirkland offers volunteer opportunities for outdoor stewardship at your local park!

Kirkland Emergency Communications Team (KECT)

The Kirkland Emergency Communications Team (KECT) is a group of volunteers who have FCC amateur radio licenses and provide the City of Kirkland with communications support during emergencies and other events.

Houghton Beach Park Swimming Area Closed
The Houghton Beach Park swimming area is closed for at least one week due to elevated bacteria levels. People and pets should not swim, drink lake water, or engage in other water activities at Houghton Beach Park. The rest of the park is open. For more information visit King County's Lake Swimming Beach Program website.
