Swim Areas Closed: Houghton Beach Park
August 25, 2026: The swimming areas at Houghton Beach Park is closed for at least one week due to elevated bacteria levels. People and pets should not swim, drink lake water, or engage in other water activities at these parks. The rest of the park is open. For more information visit:

King County Lake Swimming Beach Data Program

CKC Section Closure
As early as Sept. 8, 2026, King County will close a portion of the CKC trail between NE 52nd Street and 108th Avenue NE to repair a damaged culvert that runs under the County’s Eastside Interceptor Section 14 sewer pipe, build a retaining wall, and stabilize the stream nearby. Repair work will last three months. A detour route will be available. Please stay out of the work area.
