We’re excited to introduce the Cascadia Government Leadership Collective, a regional initiative designed to develop the next generation of leaders in local government. This collaborative program brings together cities across our region to share resources, expertise, and training opportunities.

About the Program
The Collective offers a series of in-person workshops focused on leadership, not just management, within the public sector. Participants will learn from experienced practitioners and explore topics such as emotional intelligence, communication, strategic decision-making, community engagement, and organizational culture.

Who Should Participate?
This program is designed for early to mid-career professionals (typically 5–10 years in local government) who aspire to become supervisors, managers, or directors.

Program Highlights:

  • Curriculum tailored to the unique challenges of local government leadership
  • Small class sizes (25–35 participants) for interactive learning
  • Sessions hosted by participating regional cities
  • Opportunities to learn from internal and external trainers

Why This Matters

This program is about helping you become the kind of leader local government needs, leaders that are effective, ethical, and prepared for the challenges ahead. The Collective focuses on building practical leadership skills that strengthen teams, shape organizational culture, and improve service to our communities.
