Station Tours, Community Visits or Ride Along Requests

Gold Award Fire Station 24

The Kirkland Fire Department is happy to announce that our fire stations are once again open to the public for visits and scheduled group tours. Community members can also request firefighter participation at their community event!

Community members are welcome to stop by any of our six fire stations for an impromptu visit and say hello to the firefighters, have your blood pressure checked, or see the fire trucks and aid vehicles. Please note that station access is based on crew availability and/or their daily activities. You may be asked to return at a different time if the crews are unable to provide access for impromptu visits.

A few things to remember for scheduled and community events:

  • We ask for at least 20 days notice before the desired date of your fire station tour or firefighter appearance request.
  • Fire station tours are available Monday through Friday from 10:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. on an approved basis.
  • Station tours have a maximum limit of 16 children and 4 adults (ratio of 4:1). Children need to be a minimum of 4 years of age for scheduled tours .
  • All requests will be fulfilled based on available resources. Please note: Kirkland Fire may not be able to fulfill a request due to limited resources.
