City Council/Boards and Commissions

The City Clerk's office prepares the City Council meeting agenda and packet, staffs Council meetings, prepares the minutes, and follows up on legislative actions. We also manage the recruitment process for boards and commissions volunteer members.

Please be advised that the Election Ballot Drop Box at has been relocated to a new spot nearby at 120 3rd Avenue Kirkland, WA 98033.

New Location: Kirkland Wester Parking Lot, just south of the City Hall Building on 3rd Avenue.

Ballot Drop Box Locations (Kirkland): 

Kirkland City Hall (123 5th Avenue): Kirkland Wester Parking Lot, just south of the City Hall Building on 3rd Avenue, best accessed via 1st Street.

Kingsgate Library (12315 NE 143rd Street): Located on the West side of the building.

Service of Process

All Service of Process shall be made at Kirkland City Hall during normal business hours (eight a.m. to five p.m.) Monday thru Friday to the City Clerk. Pursuant to RCW 4.28.080(2) and Kirkland Municipal Code 3.16.070 the Mayor and City Manager designate the City Clerk as their agent to accept service of summonses and other original process. In the event that the City Clerk cannot be served, please contact the City Clerk's Office at 425-587-3190.
