City Clerk

The City Clerk's Office supports the Mayor and City Council, oversees the Hearing Examiner function, maintains official City records, oversees public disclosure, and coordinates City elections with King County.

Council/Boards and Commissions

The City Clerk's office prepares the City Council meeting agenda and packet, staffs Council meetings, prepares the minutes, and follows up on legislative actions. We also manage the recruitment process for boards and commissions volunteer members.

Service of Process

Staff may not always be available for acceptance of process service as we transition back on site during the first few weeks following the August 2, 2021 re-opening of City Hall to the public.  Appointments are recommended.

Please contact the City Clerk’s office at 425-587-3190 or via email at CCO@kirklandwa.gov to schedule an appointment. We regret that same day service may not be available.
