Call to Artists: Reimagining the Kalakala

The City of Kirkland and art consultant Elisheba Johnson of Eunice Waymon Arts Services have an exciting public art opportunity to announce for artists living/working in Washington State.

Requests for Qualifications: Reimagining the Kalakala

The City of Kirkland, Washington is seeking an artist/artist team to create a permanent artwork proposal that reimagines the remnants of the Kalakala ferry.

Three artists/artist teams will be selected to create a detailed artwork proposal. Each artist/artist team will receive a $3,000 stipend for their proposal and retain all copyright privileges. The selected artist/artist team and budget will be presented to the Kirkland City Council for final approval.
