Join the Green Kirkland Partnership and EarthCorps to help with the restoration of Juanita Bay Park. Volunteers will spend the morning participating in restoration activities which may include removing non-native invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers. No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us! This event will be led by our partners at EarthCorps.
What to Bring:

Closed-toed shoes are required
Dress for the weather: warm layers and rain gear are encouraged
Long pants and long sleeves that can get dirty are recommended
Full Water bottle and snacks are encouraged
Tools, gloves, and training will be provided.
Where to meet:
The volunteer event will start inside the park. From the main parking lot, walk into the park past the kiosk and the restrooms. When you reach the main lower pathway go left and then turn right towards the boardwalk. You will see the event leads near the picnic table.
Parking is available in the parking lot.
Youth Volunteering Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
