Volunteer smilingJoin the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of the forest at Everest Park. Volunteers will spend the morning doing a mix of restoration activities which may include removing aggressive invasive species like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, spreading mulch over cleared areas, and planting native trees, shrubs and ground covers.  No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

Register to Volunteer on the EarthCorps website.

What to Bring: Please dress for the weather (layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must this time of the year), wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools, training and coffee will be provided.

Meeting point:
Look for the Green Kirkland and EarthCorps event signs. We will be parking/meeting at the North Parking Lot near the gazebo. Note, if you park in the south lot near the bathrooms you will need to walk north past the ball fields to the north lot/gazebo. Parking is available in the north lot on 8th St S.

Youth Volunteering: Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
