MLK Jr Day of Service with Green Kirkland
Date: January 20, 2020
Time: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Volunteers at Juanita Bay

Celebrate MLK Jr. Day of Service with Green Kirkland Partnership and United Way of King County in 2020

On January 20, 2020 Green Kirkland will be hosting stewardship events to make it a 'day on' for community service on MLK Jr. Day.

Join the Green Kirkland Partnership for a day of environmental stewardship to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King's commitment to service on Monday January 20, 2020.

We will be digging-in with hands-on service at four parks throughout the city and will spend time reflecting on how to extend this one-time experience to further Dr. King's legacy of social and environmental justice.

At each event volunteers will help steward restoration sites by planting native trees and shrubs, pulling invasive weeds and spreading mulch. Your help with this stewardship is critical to restore habitat in Kirkland's parks and natural areas for your community!

No experience is necessary, and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us!

These stewardship opportunities are made possible with support from PCC-Community Markets, King Conservation District and the City of Kirkland.
