Volunteering is a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference in your local environment. Join us at an upcoming event to lend a hand removing invasive species and planting native plants in parks and natural spaces throughout Kirkland.
Register for an Upcoming Event:
You must pre-register with EarthCorps for in-person events. For in-person volunteer events please navigate back to the Event Calendar and follow the links to registration through EarthCorps.
Alternatively you can find Kirkland's events (and other cities) on the EarthCorps Calendar.
Select the virtual event(s) taht you would like to register for below.
Are you looking to register a group of volunteers? Currently space is very limited for groups as onsite group size is restricted. We encourage group members to sign-up individually with EarthCorps or contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss other options.
What to bring: Close-toed shoes are required (boots, sneakers; no sandals). Please dress for the weather - rain gear is a good idea for most events. We encourage you to wear layers and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Please bring a filled water bottle and snacks. We will provide all the tools and training that are needed for restoration work.
Youth Volunteers: Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Youth 14 to 17 must either be accompanied by an adult, bring a signed youth waiver form, or bring a parent/guardian to sign you in.
Court ordered volunteers: The Green Kirkland Partnership is currently allowed to accept or certify hours ONLY for Teen Traffic Court assigned by the Kirkland Municipal Court. We CANNOT accept or certify for any other type of court ordered volunteers. We encourage court ordered volunteers to check out the following partner organizations for volunteer opportunities: EarthCorps, Green Tacoma Partnership, Green Seattle Partnership, Green Redmond Partnership, and Green Everett Partnership.
