In light of the recommendations from Public Health Seattle & King County, the City of Kirkland Parks Department has decided to cancel most recreation programs and volunteer events through April 26 including Green Kirkland volunteer events. We are planning to resume events on April 27 subject to guidance from Public Health and the City of Kirkland.
We will send an update when our event programming resumes.
Volunteering is a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference in your local environment. Join us at an upcoming event to lend a hand removing invasive species and planting native plants in parks and natural spaces throughout Kirkland.
Register for an Upcoming Event: Select the event(s) that you would like to register for below. If you don't see the event you are looking for, navigate back to the Event Calendar and see details on how to register.
Are you looking to register a group of 8+ volunteers? Please email us directly at email@example.com to ensure there is enough room for your group.
What to bring: Close-toed shoes are required (boots, sneakers; no sandals). Please dress for the weather - rain gear is a good idea for most events. We encourage you to wear layers and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Please bring a filled water bottle and snacks. We will provide all the tools and training that are needed for restoration work.
Youth Volunteers: Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Youth 14 to 17 must either be accompanied by an adult, bring a signed youth waiver form, or bring a parent/guardian to sign you in.
Court ordered volunteers: The Green Kirkland Partnership is currently allowed to accept or certify hours ONLY for Teen Traffic Court assigned by the Kirkland Municipal Court. We CANNOT accept or certify for any other type of court ordered volunteers. We encourage court ordered volunteers to check out the following partner organizations for volunteer opportunities: EarthCorps, Green Tacoma Partnership, Green Seattle Partnership, Green Redmond Partnership, and Green Everett Partnership.
