The City of Kirkland offers community messaging on Klife, Comcast Cable Channel 75 and Klife Frontier Communications Cable Channel 32 as a free public service to promote communication among public, educational and governmental sources. Cable channel 75 is available to homes within the city limits of Kirkland that subscribe to basic cable from Comcast. So, if you have information or an invitation you would like to send to the Kirkland Community use the Community Calendar Message Display.

Messages are displayed throughout the day, 7 days per week during all non-program (taped or live) playback hours.

Instructions to submit your message for display on channel 75.

1a. Complete a Message Display Request Form and submit to K-Life Channel 75 a minimum of 5 working days prior to the first requested display date.

1b. You may also download the form, fill in the necessary information and mail it to: K-Life Channel 75, c/o Digital Communications Manager, City of Kirkland, 123 Fifth Avenue, Kirkland, WA 98033. A contact name and telephone number is required.

2. Messages may be edited by the Station Manager to maximize the impact, clarity and efficiency of the message.

3. Event messages should indicate whether they are free or if there is an admission charge. Fees will not be listed so it is important to include an information telephone number.


Rules for message postings

1. In order to maximize the use of the Message Board for messages of broad public interest, regular community group and religious service schedules will not be announced.

2. Advertisements on behalf of a political candidate or measure of a ballot are prohibited. Note: this does not preclude the production by the Kirkland City Channel of programming which includes the opportunity for all candidates for a particular elective post or proponents of all sides of an issue to appear in a fair and equitable fashion.

3. Advertisements including specific messages on behalf of or opposing any measure under consideration by the Kirkland City Council is prohibited.

4. Promotional material concerning products or services presented for the purpose of any solicitation of funds or items of value by anyone other than government or non-profit groups is prohibited.

5. Material which constitutes libel, slander, pornography, violation of trademark or copyright, or which might violate any local, state, or federal laws, including FCC regulations is prohibited.
