Compact Fluorescent Lamp Bulbs

CFL bulbs and tubes contain mercury and should not be placed in the trash. Residents in Kirkland can recycle CFL bulbs and tubes through the LightRecycle Washingtonlinks to external site program.

LightRecyclelinks to external site allows residents and businesses to recycle CFLs and other fluorescent lightbulbs for free. Drop up to 10 CFL bulbs daily at Kirkland City Hall or any Bartell Drugs, as well as collection sites throughout the state.

Find locations to recycle fluorescent tube lights on the LightRecycle websitelinks to external site. (As of January 2020, they are no longer accepted at Town Center Hardware in Bridle Trails.) You can also recycle fluorescent tubes at the Factoria Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Sitelinks to external site and Wastemobile locationslinks to external site.
