Graffiti

Graffiti on Public Property

Report graffiti to Our Kirkland. The Public Works Department’s goal is to remove graffiti on public property within 24 hours. The best deterrent for more graffiti is swift removal of the existing graffiti. When reporting graffiti, here’s the information we’ll need:
  • Address or intersection
  • Type of object that has been defaced (i.e. fence, sign, etc.)
  • Is it offensive (racial, gang-related or profanity)?

Graffiti in the Act

If you witness graffiti in the act, please report it to the Police Department at 425-587-3400.

Graffiti on Private Property

The City does not remove graffiti on private property. The City will notify the property owner and encourage them to remove the graffiti quickly.

You may also report the graffiti if your own property has been vandalized.

For More Information

For questions regarding graffiti, you may contact Streets and Grounds Division at 425-587-3900.  We appreciate your help in keeping the City of Kirkland a clean, safe place to live, work and play.
