South Kirkland pedestrian bridge

A concept rendering of the bicycle and pedestrian bridge connecting the transit-oriented development to the Cross Kirkland Corridor
This rendering shows the concept for the bicycle and pedestrian bridge that will connect the South Kirkland Park and Ride to the Cross Kirkland Corridor.

Update (May 2, 2018) -- The City of Kirkland is pursuing state and federal grants that will help create a connection between the Cross Kirkland Corridor to the South Kirkland Park and Ride with a bicycle and pedestrian bridge that features a tower, which will house a 65-foot elevator and a five-flight staircase. The bridge's transparent design will create a variety of views, help prevent crime and reduce the need for artificial light.
The City completed design and secured the necessary permits to build the bridge in February 2018.
Kirkland is building the bridge to enhance the Cross Kirkland Corridor's regional connections and to provide transit-riders with more choices for how they access the transit center.
