Police Respond to Reports of Shots Fired in Kirkland

Kirkland, WA – On Thursday May 23rd at 8:50 in the evening, Kirkland Police Officers were dispatched to the 8700 block of NE 137th ST in the Finn Hill neighborhood of Kirkland for reports of a Shots Fired call.  Officers arrived and began to contact witnesses in the neighborhood that reported seeing a gold Chevrolet Cruze or similar type vehicle with dark tinted windows.  Witnesses reported that two suspects were seen in the vehicle and that the passenger had fired two shots into the air just prior to the vehicle speeding away eastbound through the neighborhood.

Officers conducted a canvas of the neighborhood and collected evidence from the scene.  Based on eye witness accounts, it is not believed at this time that the shots were directed at any specific person in the area.

Kirkland Detectives have begun follow-up investigation work and are attempting to contact anyone in the area that might have seen the incident or have any knowledge of it.  The vehicle and two suspects are still outstanding at this time and have not been identified.
