National Night Out 2018
Turn your porch lights on, come outside and take a stand against crime with your neighbors.
The Kirkland Police Department encourages Kirkland neighborhoods to participate in the 35th annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 7th, 2018.
"National Night Out" is a nationwide campaign aimed at involving communities in crime and drug prevention awareness. Kirkland residents are encouraged to get together with neighbors and friends to plan neighborhood events. Activities that neighborhoods may want to host include cookouts, flashlight walks, community conversations or contests.
Neighborhood groups can register their event with the City by filling out the National Night Out Block Party Permit Application PDF.The application is only needed for events that require road closure. Block party fees will be waived for National Night Out events held on August 7th, 2018. Members of City Council and first responders from the Kirkland Police and Fire Departments will be attending community events between 6 and 9 p.m. For Block Parties held on private property no application is needed.
